We the faculty, INE,SME, Pathanamthitta believe that the graduates in nursing should be equipped with knowledge, skill and attitude to render comprehensive nursing care to their clients with various disorders in hospital, home and community. We mould the student to exhibit positive attitude and character upholding the dignity of the individual and the profession.We believe that the graduates in nursing should possess sound judgement and are intellectually and morally enlightened and professionally equipped, so that they are capable of caring for the sick.
Already 15 batches passed out from the institute and are being decorated to various cosmopolitan institutions in India and the world. During COVID pandemic our students along with Pathanamthitta district administration have done tremendous activities as part of COVID 19 which was appreciated by the Kerala Chief Minister in a press meet. Our former students working at AIMS, New Delhi were part of the Health team constituted to care VVIP’s like former Financial Minister Mr Arun Jaitley and the letter of appreciation received were shared with the institution. We have students from Jammu & Kashmir, PM-USP yojana.
Institute of Nursing Education, SME,Chuttippara, Pathanamthitta, , a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education was incepted in 2004 with a view to create nursing professionals competent in providing comprehensive nursing care based on scientific principles so as to meet the escalating medi-care needs of the country
Education has to be the solid base on which India should build its socio- political and economic edifice. Without adequate opportunities for professional education the ambitions and talents of many students were nipped in the bud. Keeping this view, Institute of Nursing Education, School of Medical Education, Chuttipara Pathanamthitta was inaugurated on 29/10/2004 by Shri. OommenChandy, the then chief Minister of Kerala and first batch was admitted in 2004 itself.
The college is equipped with the most modern facilities and exceptional infrastructure, needed for sound education and practice in the nursing profession. Highly qualified faculty handle the theory classes in Pre-clinical subjects and the students utilize the full fledged laboratories for their practical learning.
The clinical experience needed for students is offered at General HospitalPathanamthitta,Mental Health Centre Thiruvananthapuram,Women& Child Hospital Alappuzha, District Hospital Kozhencherry and Government Medical College Hospital Vandanam, Community Health CentreElanthoor and Konni, Urban Health Unit Kumbazha and Primary Health centres Omalloor and Mallapuzhassery
