About INE

Institute of Nursing Education,SME,Chuttippara, Pathanamthitta, , a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education was incepted in 2004 with a view to create nursing professionals competent in providing comprehensive nursing care based on scientific principles so as to meet the escalating medi-care needs of the country.
Education has to be the solid base on which India should build its socio- political and economic edifice. Without adequate opportunities for professional education the ambitions and talents of many students were nipped in the bud. Keeping this view, Institute of Nursing Education, School of Medical Education, Chuttipara Pathanamthitta was inaugurated on 29/10/2004 by Shri. Oommen Chandy, the then chief Minister of Kerala and first batch was admitted in 2004 itself. The institution is situated in the heart of Pathanamthitta and is blessed abundantly with the beauty of Mother nature. 

About STAS

School of Technology and Applied Sciences (STAS), was established in the year 1993, by the Mahatma Gandhi University. At present, the institution is under the direct administrative control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS) with three regional centres at Kottayam, Kochi and Pathanamthitta.

The vision of the institution is to equip the students to face global competitiveness and challenges at affordable cost. The mission is to get access to high quality professional education to the less privileged groups of the society at a less expense compared to the private colleges in and around the state.STAS Kottayam is located at Pullarikkunnu, a beautiful place, 5kms from Kottayam and 3 kms from Medical College.

In a rapidly changing world, it is only natural that education finds itself in the forefront as an instrument of social change. Quality of education is the first priority.
The institution is under the direct administrative control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS)
The yearly intake of students for BSc Nursing programme is 50. Admission is purely on merit, centralised, and based on marks scored at HSC Examination.
